Privacy Policy
Tabisto is local-first. Your bookmarks and workspace live in your browser, not on our servers, unless you choose to sign in for sync.
Last updated: May 30, 2026
This policy explains what the Tabisto new tab Chrome extension and the Tabisto website collect, why, and what choices you have. Tabisto is built by DevDiggers Technologies. By using Tabisto, you agree to this policy.
What we store on your device
Tabisto saves your workspaces, bookmarks, sections, notes, reminders and saved tab sessions in your browser using IndexedDB. This data stays on your computer. It works fully offline, and you do not need an account to use the extension.
What we store if you sign in
Signing in is optional and only enables cloud sync across your devices. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a user id from the sign-in provider. We store one snapshot of your workspace data so it can sync between your browsers.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers we use
We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run accounts, sync and billing:
- Supabase stores your synced workspace snapshot and handles authentication, protected by row-level security.
- Google provides optional sign-in. We receive only your email and a user id.
- Stripe processes Pro payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Cloudflare hosts the Tabisto website and serves it over a global network.
Favicons and links
Site icons for your bookmarks are loaded through your browser's built-in favicon service, not through third-party trackers. We do not log which links you open or build a profile of your browsing.
Payment data
When you upgrade to Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. We keep a subscription record that holds your plan status and a Stripe customer id so we can manage your subscription. We never store your full card number.
Permissions the extension requests
Tabisto requests storage, tabs, favicon, context menus and identity permissions so it can save your workspace, save the current tab, show site icons, add a right-click save option, and sign you in. Bookmark access is optional and is only requested when you choose to import your existing bookmarks.
How long we keep data
Local data stays until you delete it or uninstall the extension. If you have an account, your synced snapshot is kept while the account is active. Ask us to delete it and we remove it from our systems. Stripe keeps billing records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can use Tabisto without an account and keep everything on your device. If you have an account, you can export your workspace from inside the app, sign out to stop syncing, or ask us to access or delete your stored data by emailing support@tabisto.app. Uninstalling the extension removes the local data in that browser.
International data
Our providers may process data on servers outside your country. We only use providers that apply recognized safeguards for handling personal data.
Children
Tabisto is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions about privacy go to support@tabisto.app.
